Town of Cornwall

Cornwall is a town in Orange County, New York, USA. It is located on the Hudson River. The population is 12,307.

Cornwall is a bedroom community for New York City, and commuter rail service is available via the Salisbury Mills-Cornwall train station, operated by NJ Transit.

Cornwall is unique in that it has two distinct walkable downtowns, one in the town, a second in the village of Cornwall-on-Hudson. Both downtowns include retail corridors of grocers, gift shops, taverns, restaurants, coffeehouses, Internet cafes, and boutique clothiers. Government offices, schools, churches, parks and St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, a part of the NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System, are situated within walking distance of both downtowns.

Less than an hour from the George Washington Bridge and such major commuter routes as the New York State Thruway and the Palisades Parkway, Cornwall is ideally located near major shopping centers such as Woodbury Commons.
