Some Seller Advice...
Tidbits for Sellers....It's your turn now. Let's step into the shoes of the buyer. Try to remember the positives in your house that attracted you. Try to focus on the positives of your house while removing the negatives. Think like a buyer. Walk through your house, literally, as if you were seeing it for the first time. The key to selling your property is to separate yourself emotionally from it. Remember, you are selling your house, not your home!
On another note...you need people to be interested in the outside of your house to get people inside." Proper landscaping, deep cleaning, decluttering and proper pricing are all things that have to happen before putting it on the market. You can't underestimate the power of curb appeal in this market. Because there is so much inventory, you need for your house to stand above the competition in a vital attempt to get more showings. Also, "staging" the house is also a great idea. Upon walking through as if you were a buyer, look and see what would keep them from envisioning themselves "living" in it. Personal pictures and such should be taken down and packed away. Doing this enables the perspective buyer to see it as a clean palette assisting them in viualizing it with their personal items in it.
